We made the Nesting Box by HABA!

Sunday is our one 'closed' day at the shop every week, our special family and relaxation day!  We often have a project going in the garden and todays project was building our HABA Bird House!

I love building kits for kids!

Teaching our children real life skills, encouraging a love and understanding of nature. Enabling the child to feel the confidence and competence of completing a task they set out to do! The pride kids feel when they have completed a project is such a joy for a parent to be part of.

At Earth Toys we LOVE Building Kits as they are the perfect stay home activity to do as a family, slow time to sit together, talk, laugh, bond, ( maybe curse a little if you do something wrong ;) ) problem solve and complete a project that everyone can be proud of for years to come!

Our son has been begging to take home this kit for months and of course he LOVED building it. He is very passionate about animals and is always out watching the birds, insects and butterflies that frequent our garden. We often have little birds making nests in our trees and in the shed so it will be very interesting to watch and wait and see if we have any birds nesting in here our new bird house over the next year!
